The exhibition of June, 2008 reflected a continuing devotion to two principal themes.

Still life provides limitless possibilities for combining tonal representation of simple, natural and man-made forms – a rewarding challenge for the draughtsman, with the freedom and thrill of decorative, flat pattern.

The local landscape is nature’s resource and nature’s gift. All around us the countryside presents exquisite tapestries of colour and texture – in the fields and hedgerows, in the forests, on the slopes of the surrounding hills and on the upland moors.
